Nokia HERE Maps Available Now for the iPhone and iPad

Nokia announced last week that its maps were been rebranded as HERE Maps and that these were coming to iOS through an app. Today, the company has released HERE Maps, the official iPhone and iPad app that brings their maps natively. Nokia wants to fill the gap left by Apple's Maps and the absence of Google Maps on iOS.

Nokia Maps Now Available on the iPhone and iPad Through the Safari Web Browser

Nokia has announced the availability of its map services on iOS by going on Safari to m.maps.nokia.com. That's not all, Nokia is also offering voice guided turn-by-turn navigation, but only when on foot, not driving.

Nokia Lumia 800 Review

Symbian is Dead, will an alliance with Microsoft save Nokia?

We have to say it, at this point, Symbian is dead. It is the driving force of Nokia smartphones, but Nokia has decided to stop development in favor of Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 OS. Nokia has been the worldwide leader on the smartphone market share, but has seen its share considerably reduced in the last years in part cause by iOS and Android. But the real cause is Nokia.
