Google Officially Acquires Waze

It finally happened, someone acquired traffic and navigation startup Waze. Google announced today that it has acquired the Israeli-based company for an undisclosed amount and will keep the app Waze running separately, for now. Waze is an app that gathers crowdsource data from users to let hem now where's traffic and what's the best route to get around it.

Apple announced yesterday to developers that apps can now be transferred form one developer to another. Why would you want to do that? Typical scenario is that one company or developer gets acquired and would like to publish the apps under the new company's dev account.

See Apple's New TV Ad "Our Signature" [Video]

One statement Apple repeated on yesterday's WWDC was design and California. The company wanted to let everybody know where they operate, where they design and how much they appreciate both. Nothing shows that statement better than the video ad they showed at the end of the event where they explain that signature we see on each Apple product "Designed By Apple in California".

New MacBook Air with Haswell Chips Brings All-day Battery Life

Apple announced today at WWDC an updated line of MacBook Air that features very impressive battery life. According to Apple, the new Airs have an all day battery life. The new Macs also have Haswell Intel processors, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and flash storage that is up to 45% faster than previous generations.

Apple Gives a Preview of the New Mac Pro at WWDC

Apple finally did something it hasn't done in years, updating the Mac Pro. Well not just updating, it gave the pro a whole new redesign and filled it with hardware meant to make it faster and more efficient. The new Mac Pro has a an all black design in shape of a cylinder that is 1/8 the size of the preview Mac Pro and that actually rotates to reveal the I/O ports.

Buckle Up Pandora, Here Comes Apple with iTunes Radio

Apple announced today the much rumored radio service. Called iTunes Radio, the service is design to make it easy to discover music, share the music you like and buy it if you want to. The service lets you create stations around songs, genres and artists and also features stations curated by Apple. The service will undoubtedly compete with Pandora as it provides the similar features but with more exclusive music and features like Siri integration.

Apple Unveils a Whole New Design with iOS 7

Apple's CEO Tim Cook saif today on stage at WWDC that iOS 7 is "the biggest change since the iPhone" when announcing the next major version of the operating system that powers the iPhone, iPad. and iPod Touch. The design is the biggest change here featuring a translucent look that can be seen everywhere from the lockscreen, to the keyboard. iOS 7 also brings lots of color and animations to improve the experience. All stock iOS app have been updated in look and feel.

Say Hello to OS X Mavericks, the Next Major Version of OS X

Craig Federighi announced today a new OS X version. The man in charge of OS X and iOS announced that they will leave the cat names behind and will start a new naming convention that will honor California, starting with OS X Mavericks. “Mavericks” refers to the big waves distinct of the California coast.
