The Technology Behind Apple's New Earbuds, the "Earpods"

Apple announced yesterday as part of the iPhone event a completely new design for their iconic earbuds. They are now called earpods and they look like they come out of a space movie. But the design has a reason to be like that.
After three years of research and analyzing different forms of ears they could come up with something common between them.
The final design of the earpods display a main hole that delivers sound directly to the auditory canal.
Another hole on the back of the earpod delivers mid frequency which provides sound experience consistent from person to person. One hole in the stem delivers the bass, and that combined with the one in the back, they let air flow to the acoustic chamber to release pressure on the external speaker producing better low frequency sound.
