Facebook Messenger for iPhone Updated with Emoji Support, Active User Indicator, More

Following's yesterday released of a rebuilt Facebook iPhone app, the company released an update to its Messenger app with support for smileys, ability to see if the contact is active and more.

Included in the update:

  • Add smileys, hearts and other emoji to messages
  • Click the person's name at the top of your conversation to view their Facebook Timeline
  • Seeing who's active lets you and your friends know how soon to expect a reply
  • Improved "new message" sound
  • Other bug fixes

Facebook Messenger is free and available in the App Store [iTunes Link].
