Groupon Redesigns iPhone App; Still Doesn't Include San Juan, Puerto Rico on It

Deals site Groupon has updated its iPhone app with a new design. the app brings a completely new navigation scheme, larger photos and better deal rankings.

Included in the update:

  • Carousel navigation makes discovering new deals as easy and fun as riding a mechanical, musical pony
  • Larger and better quality pictures make great iPhone backgrounds and ensure you see exactly what you're buying
  • Today, Groupon Rewards—our merchant loyalty program—is available in 31 cities
  • As a new user, you'll get better deal rankings. Your answers to a few questions help out our deal algorithm and a lottery machine we bought at a garage sale

Even after a year since launching in Puerto Rico, the island is not ncluded in the iPhone app, neither as a city from the US (San Juan) or as a separate country.

Groupon is available for free in the App Store [iTunes Link].
