Location iPhone App Localscope Adds Yelp as a Source

Cynapse has updated location app Localscope adding Yelp as a source and more integration with navigation apps. The app also improves Flickr results, among other things.

Changes included in the update:

  • New source - Yelp - Use one of the largest online local search service to find the best nearby businesses with user ratings, reviews and opinions. (Works in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and many countries in Western Europe.)
  • New navigation app integrations - Telenav and MotionX GPS HD, to provide turn by turn directions to any discovered location.
  • Removed Fwix - Fwix has permanently discontinued their services, hence Fwix News and Fwix Reviews will no longer be available as sources in Localscope.
  • Improved Flickr results to show fresher photos around a location in Discover mode.
