In what it seemed like a case of déjà vu, Apple issued a statement today regarding iTunes 11. The update to the app was due on late October, which we still are, but people started to question when it was going to be released, especially after last week's iPad mini event where there was no mention of it.
Regarding the release of iTunes 11, Apple's spokesperson Tom Neumayr told The Loop:
“The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right. We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.”
Let us not forget, iTunes Match was scheduled to be released at the end of October last year, but ended up being release in mid November. At least this time Apple said something about it so people would stop asking for the update.
