Beats by Dre Announces Beats Pill, Wireless Speaker for iOS Devices with Beats Audio Integration

Beats by Dre announced today the availability of the Beats Pill, a wireless speakers that includes Beats Audio and that can pair through Bluetooth with iOS devices, and with NFC devices with the "tap-to-pair" technology. You can also connect devices through auxiliary cable.

This speaker also gives you all call functions as it has a built in microphone, which means it can be used in conference calls when paired with a smartphone.

Some of other the features included in the Beats Pill:

  • Four speaker system with Beats unique sound profile 
  • Rechargeable lithium ion battery provides 7 hours of continuous play 
  • AC Power adapter with USB receptacle for charging 
  • Auto shut-off after 30 minutes of no signal detection in order to conserve battery life 
  • 3.5mm line out for connection to an external speaker system 
  • Echo cancellation for call clarity and feedback control 
  • 8 Bluetooth profiles

The Beats Pill will be available in red, black and white for $199. You can order it now through the Beats Store, authorized Beats resellers and through the Beats by Dre site.
