Squarespace Extends the Agony, Only Gives a Sneak Peek and Starts Public Beta

Lots of Squarespace users are divided on the announcement made by the company today. After teasing a "Special Announcement" today, Squarespace posted a blog and video about the new version, which you can find in this link.

Squarespace also posted a FAQ for users to read. Beta should start soon.

It is very disappointing, from our perspective. Squarespace version 6 has been long overdue. I totally understand that building it and refining it's no easy job, but they have been teasing and prolonging timelines for months. Lots of users are hanging on the balance on whether to jump ship to Wordpress. 

Squarespace needs to take this more seriously. There is no doubt that the initial features that will be rolled out in the beta look great, but it needs to finalized things ASAP.
